Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) Can Cause Chronic Fatigue; CBCD Reviews Medical Evidence

Dr. Yamada and colleagues wrote in a study that “worldwide, an estimated two billion people have been infected with HBV and more than 240 million have chronic infections.” (2) The hepatitis B virus is known to cause chronic fatigue. “Often, the symptom of fatigue has a gradual onset and the person may not be aware of how much energy they have lost until they try to compare their ability to complete tasks from one time frame to another. They may presume that their fatigue is due to aging and ignore the symptom. This may lead to a delay in seeking care.” (1) It is important to note that the CDC says “While fatigue can last for a prolonged period of time, the presence of chronic fatigue is different than chronic fatigue syndrome, which has specific set of two criteria. In order for the condition to be considered chronic fatigue syndrome, a person must “Have severe chronic fatigue for at least six months or longer with other known medical conditions (whose manifestation includes fatigue) excluded by clinical diagnosis; and concurrently have four or more of the following symptoms: post-exertional malaise, impaired memory or concentration, unrefreshing sleep, muscle pain, multi-joint pain without redness or swelling, tender cervical or axillary lymph nodes, sore throat, and headache.” (1)

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends that people infected with the hepatitis B virus take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of these natural antiviral products was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the hepatitis B virus, and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HBV … reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (3)  The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (3)

Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. (That’s where the liver is located.) Diarrhea or constipation muscle aches or joint pain, skin rash, (and) jaundice. This means that the skin and whites of the eyes look yellow. Jaundice is a major sign of liver damage. It usually appears after other symptoms have started to go away.” (4)

In light of the above information, the CBCD recommends that individuals infected with the hepatitis B virus take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.
