Heather Arthur selected as Top VP of the Year in Communications by IAOTP

Heather Arthur, Vice President of Rogers Customer Care Operations for Rogers Communications Inc, was recently selected as Top VP of the Year in Communications by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the industry.

Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. With over twenty-five years of professional experience as a successful executive, Heather has certainly proven herself as an extraordinary professional and expert in communications. She is a dynamic, results-driven leader, who has demonstrated success in every role she has ever served. Currently, Heather is the Vice President of Customer Care Operations for Rogers Communications Inc. located in Toronto, Canada.

Her impressive repertoire of previous roles includes beginning her career at Rogers Communications Inc. in 1996 where she has continued to climb the leadership ranks. Progressing from a sales manager, intensive coaching manager, process improvement project manager, technical support senior manager and then moving into the B2B world to support customers in both wireless and cable products. Most recently moving back to support the consumer telecommunications space as Vice President Customer Care, Heather supports a team of 3000+ employees across Canada, ready to serve and provide the highest level of customer satisfaction. In each role Heather has exceeded at driving employee engagement, which she says is the most important ingredients to her consistent year over year improvements in driving down costs, increasing revenue and improving the customer experience.

Heather has a strong passion for culture and building the strongest leaders on her team. Her commitment for cultivating leaders on her team led her to become a Master Facilitator for the Lead Without Title Global Inc. (LWT). As a master facilitator for this program Heather transformed hundred of leaders within her organization teaching the concepts, of how to step up to be the best version of yourself.  Her success bringing this program alive for her own team led her to also be part of the International facilitator team at LWT, helping to transform companies around the world. As a previous Director for the Brampton Board of Trade from, Heather looked for ways to contribute locally during her three- year elected term Heather helped to encouraged pro-business policies with all levels of government to support strong economic growth for small and medium businesses.

Heather’s area of expertise encompass; B2B, business development, strategic planning, contact centre sales, employee engagement, coaching, corporate training, customer satisfaction, process improvement, customer service, full life cycle, business analysis, customer relationship management, team building, quality, customer retention strategies, goal setting, program management, certified coaching, leadership development, employee engagement, and performance coaching.

Before embarking on her current career path, Heather attended Seneca College where she earned her Diploma in Biological/Chemical Research. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management with Honors from the University of Phoenix in 2009. Heather became a certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner) and completed her training in 2011. To increase her knowledge and capabilities, Heather attended the Cable Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School for Executive Education.

Throughout her illustrious career, Heather has received awards, accolades and has been recognized as an active member of her community for her outstanding leadership and commitment as a proficient executive. This year she will be considered for a feature article in TIP (Top Industry Professional) Magazine and is also being considered for the Empowered Woman Award given by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Heather will receive this recognition at IAOTP’s 2021 Annual Awards Gala being held at the magnificent Plaza Hotel in New York City at the end of this year. Heather is widely recognized as an outstanding mentor and coach dedicated to the career development of employees in order to achieve business goals, superior performance and exceed customer expectations.

Heather has devoted her time and contributed so much of her business know-how to helping others. Not only has she guided hundreds of individuals through workshops around the world, making it possible for participants to achieve their highest potential in life and in business, she also serves as an Executive Sponsor for the Rise for Women Network and previously served as a mentor for Women in Communications and Technology.

Her community efforts include being a member of the Greater Toronto Contact Centre (GTACC) community where she is seen as an outstanding contributor and leader, always willing to lend a hand to support local charities such as the Toronto Food Bank, Room to Read, local women’s shelters or collecting backpacks with school supplies for under privileged children. Heather is also a volunteer with Million Dollar Smiles, a charity that builds playgrounds and brings bears and hugs to children with life threatening illnesses.

Looking back, Heather attributes her success to her perseverance, high-energy, curious spirit and her passion for leadership. One of her daily goals is to positively impact at least five people a day for the rest of her life. As a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie when Heather is not swimming with sharks, walking on fire or driving race cars, you can find Heather relaxing at home in Toronto, Canada. For the future, she hopes to assist in unlocking boundless creativity within organizations and to activate the leader in all of us and to continue to uphold as the reigning Boggle and Scrabble Champion in her family.
