Harry Simon, Jr. is at a crossroad

Welterweight prospect Harry Simon, Jr. is pondering his options.

The fighter fondly referred to as Junior, is the son of two time world champion Harry Simon.  Harry Simon is the only African world champion to retire undefeated and is only on of 17 champions in boxing history to retire undefeated.

Junior is poised to follow his father’s footsteps until he suffered a controversial loss to Aliyah Phiri on July 14, 2023. The loss was protested by Junior’s promoter Edward Mendy and Lion Heart Boxing Productions and declared a “no contest.”  With Junior’s record now back to perfect, the fighter is contemplating his next move.

Does he take transition fights with boxers such as veterans Rico Mueller (35-5) of Germany and Lee McAllister (48-3) of the United Kingdom to prove himself. Does he press for a contender elimination bout with a hot boxer like Anas Messaoudi (16-0)?  Or does he step all the way up and start challenging the likes of Terence Crawford and Errol Spence, Jr.?  Decisions. Decisions.

Junior recently resumed training and should be making a decision short.
