Our first Book Reading was well-attended by both OPEN members and the general public. The event took place at and was co-sponsored by East-West University, and featured author H.M. Naqvi, reading from his book The Selected Works of Abdullah the Cossack. This book reading aligns with OPEN Chicago’s increasing focus on supporting all forms of entrepreneurship and promoting global partnership.
Chairman of OPEN Chicago and Founder and CEO of Pragmatium Consulting Group, Haris Ahmed, shared his thoughts after attending the reading: “H.M. Naqvi has written a wonderfully human story that speakers to the universality of the human condition. While it is based in Karachi, Pakistan, the themes ring true in Chicago, Illinois.”
