Atlanta, GA (PRUnderground) October 24th, 2023
Gloria Warren, an author and family support advocate with over two decades of experience working with children in crisis, has embarked on a mission to publish “Kylie & Kyle: Siblings Living in Foster Care.” This much-needed children’s book is aimed at helping kids in foster care navigate the intense emotional challenges and questions of self-confidence they almost certainly will face. To finance publishing and distributing the upcoming book Warren has announced an exciting crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The project needs the help of caring individuals and organizations to make it a reality.
“Kylie & Kyle: Siblings Living in Foster Care book delivers a message in a compelling way foster kids need to hear and understand,” commented Warren. “You are loved, cared for, and capable of doing great things in life.”
Gloria Warren certainly speaks from experience. Her diverse career path, has included time spent in law enforcement, as a social worker case manager, in behavioral therapy, as a residential group home manager, mental health associate, and autism paraprofessional teacher. She has a Masters of Arts degree in Human Services Counseling and Criminal Justice and now serves as the CEO of Babnow & Kids Company in Atlanta, where her focus is on helping at-risk youth.
“Kylie & Kyle: Siblings Living in Foster Care” is a powerful tool for opening conversations about the experiences and emotions children may encounter in foster care, including feelings of fear, abandonment, and neglect. It lets them know they aren’t alone, and the issues they are facing can be overcome.
Gloria Warren’s Kickstarter campaign, with a target funding goal of $3,500, is dedicated to making this book a reality. Seventy-five percent of the funds will be allocated to cover the book’s printing costs, ensuring it reaches as many children as possible. A small percentage (5%) goes to Kickstarter for their platform fees, and the remaining 20% will be used to provide book donations, journals, and author visits to participating foster care organizations.
