Flikframe is designed to allow renters to decorate their home or apartment without the risk of losing their bond. It’s also perfect for new home-owners who don’t want to put holes in their walls (only to later change their mind about a picture’s position).
Inspired by modern smartphone packaging, Flikframe is made out of 100% recycled boxboard that’s precision-cut and coated with a water-repellent satin finish to achieve a sleek look and perfect 90-degree exterior edges. Flikframe is light, sturdy, and incredibly thin: only 0.6cm when flat packed.
Flikframe Founder, Jolene Chang, says: “It’s exciting to inject personality & colours into your home, but traditional MDF picture-frames are too heavy to hang without ruining your walls. We decided we had to come up with something new.”
To hang your Flikframe, simply stick the wall plate onto your wall using the provided restickable adhesive. Then, fold your picture inside the frame and the embedded magnets will hold the frame flush against the wall plate. No nails, hooks, or studs required.
Customizable Flikframe Jackets are also available to change the appearance of your frame. These pre-scored, printed/textured paper jackets let you decorate and redecorate your home, your way.
Flikframe is currently available on Kickstarter, starting at $23 for two frames.
