Excitement for 2017 at John Fowler Holidays!

After a fantastic 2016 John Fowler Holidays are looking forward to lots of exciting things happening in 2017 including a variety of themed weekends, new accommodation and an extensive list of entertainment.

John Fowler Holidays Devon, Cornwall and Somerset holiday parks are home to various themed weekends. These weekends are a chance to see some great themed cabaret acts and all the Stripeys getting into the spirit of the weekend. 2017 will see a selection of fabulous themed weekends with original big name acts, suitable for the whole family to enjoy.

One of the most popular themed weekends is Murder at the Manor which includes three mysteries to solve and a free buffet. The weekend of Murder is hosted at one of John Fowler’s fabulous manor houses.

Throughout the year they also host a series of musical themed weekends including the 60s, 70s and 80s. Relive the swinging sixties and enjoy authentic acts such as Edison Lighthouse, The Ivy League and The New Honeycombs. Get down and groovy with the 70s themed weekend with performances from original chart toppers Paper Lace. Or head back to the 80s where bigger and brighter are definitely better with chart sensation, Toyah, topping the bill at Cornwall Holiday Park, Trelawne.

John Fowler Holidays will be moving on to phase 4 of their holiday lodge development for 2017 at St Ives Holiday Village, which will see the removal of another 30 chalets to be replaced with brand new lodges. Models include 2,3 and 4 bedroom lodges and, for the first time, some of them will come with their own private hot tub. The commitment to refurbishing existing accommodation is continuing with another 8 chalets being upgraded to a gold standard with brand new kitchens, furniture, fixings and decor throughout.

Additional lodges are also being added to the Sandy Meadows site in Somerset which will, once more, have private hot tubs.

There are new caravans going on at all 7 of the caravan parks operated by John Fowler Holidays. The new models will include a mix of 2 and 3 bedrooms and all feature double glazing, central heating, TV in the master bedroom and MP3 sound system as standard.

There will be more gold chalet and apartment accommodation added to 7 of the holiday parks, as existing units are gutted and re-fitted with modern interiors and appliances.

The entertainment programme will be enhanced for 2017. The Foxy Club for Children will be maximising the settings of the park and feature a range of activities aimed at connecting children with the natural environment as they learn about the local wildlife in fun activities such as Nature Detectives, Den Building and Woodland Walks. The range of activities for older children is also being expanded with the addition of Nerf Wars and Bubble Football to the popular J-Teenz programme.

There will be a change to the portfolio of John Fowler Holiday Parks for 2017 as they will cease to own and operate the Ilfracombe site. They are very much committed to their eleven other holiday parks in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

Guests who enjoy staying at the North Devon site, can still say in the area as they will continue to run 2 sites in Combe Martin: Sandaway Beach Holiday Park and Combe Martin Beach Holiday Park, both of which offer picture postcard views out to sea.
