With over three decades of achievements in her field, Dr. Amornmarn is a notable physician with expertise in radiation and oncology treating patients at the Osceola Cancer Center in Kissimmee, Fl. Radiation oncology is the treatment of solid tumors with ionizing radiation, radiation treatments target the cancer cells at the most sensitive part of the cell cycle. This causes tumor cells to be erradicated, while allowing the healthy normal tissues to survive.

Dr. Amornmarn’s medical journey began as a graduate of Siriraj Medical School in Bangkok, Thailand in1971, where she received awards for having the highest grades in Pediatrics and Pathology. She completed a rotating internship and a one year residency in Internal Medicine at Siriraj Medical School Hospital in 1972, and a Straight Medical Internship at the VA Hospital in Washington, DC, 1973. Dr. Amornmarn went on to consecutively fulfill fellowships in Radiology and in Oncology at John Hopkins University, School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland from 1973-1977,during which time she served as an assistant resident and resident in therapeutic radiology.
During her past appointments, Dr. Amornmarn has served as a tenured associate professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, FL, 1983-1999. She has also served as Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland, 1981-1983; and Assistant Professor of Radiology at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ.1978-1981.
To stay abreast of the latest developments in her field, Dr. Amornmarn keeps professional memberships with the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiology, The Florida Radiological Society, The American Society of Clinical Oncology,The Radiosurgery Society,The Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Society, The Johns Hopkins Medical Alumni Association, and Johns Hopkins University of Professional Studies in Business and Education. She is affiliated with hospitals in the area, including Osceola Regional Medical Center.
