The OCT is a laser that scans the retina and is capable of detecting eye diseases at the earliest possible moment. At the Midway optometry, they treat several anterior eye diseases, remove foreign bodies, and treat glaucoma. They are known for fitting all types of contact lenses, including complicated fits. • The 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes on the computer, take a 20-second break by looking 20 feet in the distance.

• If you wear contacts, practice good hygiene to avoid eye infections. Overwearing contacts or taking naps in them is an easy way to get eye infections.

• Consider getting lenses with a blue light blocking filter embedded in it to reduce the harmful light from electronic devices.

• Dry eye is becoming more and more common, even in young people. Make sure you keep your eyes well-lubricated.

• If you have suspicions that anything is wrong with your eyes, get it checked immediately. It’s better to take a few minutes to get it checked than to lose your vision forever.
