Dr. Kami Hoss of The Super Dentists announces that his dental practice will maintain stringent COVID-19 protocols even as most of the state of California reopens
San Diego, CA (PRUnderground) June 29th, 2021
The Super Dentists, a leader in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics in San Diego, will continue to adhere to strict COVID-19 protocols for the near future even as the majority of the state of California has reopened in June 2021, according to Dr. Kami Hoss, the founder of The Super Dentists.
Dr. Hoss said The Super Dentists primarily treats children, most of whom cannot get vaccinations yet. For this reason, even though most of California “reopened” on June 15, his dental practice—which has six office locations throughout the San Diego area—must continue to comply with the same COVID-19 regulations it has followed for the past several months. It will do this for the foreseeable future per the California Department of Public Health’s June 15 guidance, as well as the June 17 revised California Occupational Safety and Health emergency temporary standard, according to Dr. Hoss.
For instance, The Super Dentists will continue to require all visitors, even those who have been vaccinated, to wear face coverings for now. Patients who are not interested in abiding by the face covering requirement will be encouraged to reschedule their appointments to later dates. The Super Dentists must also continue to screen patients as well as take their temperatures when they arrive at the office.
Vaccinated dental staff will furthermore be required to continue wearing masks while working. In addition, the dental office must provide unvaccinated staff members with respirators that they can use voluntarily during procedures that generate aerosols. Finally, physical distancing is still required at The Super Dentists, but barriers will no longer be required in the office, according to Dr. Hoss.
Dr. Kami Hoss said he looks forward to continuing to create enjoyable dental experiences for children and their families while also keeping his patients safe and healthy in the months ahead.
