He went into the field of medicine to help people, and had come to learn early in practice that sometimes, helping someone as a doctor, includes assisting with providing access to medical care including access that is otherwise limited by the increasing costs of care.
Dr. Gross is a spine fellowship trained neurological surgeon. Less than 4% of his patient encounters are surgical, preferring to treat their neurological issues in more holistic ways which often prove very effective. He focusses on second opinions, revision cases, persistent symptoms despite treatment, and complex medical conundrums. The calculated amount of care includes charity care, write-offs and waivers, negotiated reductions, and discount care program creation at hospital and surgery center facilities.
