Dr. Andrea Luoma selected as Empowered Woman of the Year by IAOTP

Andrea M. J. Luoma, Ph.D., Transformational Catalyst, Organizational Consultant, NeuroLeadership expert, and Executive Coach for Accommõdāre Consulting was recently selected as Empowered Woman of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Her exemplary role as a female business professional in a male dominated industry displays her fearlessness, capability and determination.

Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are selected for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations and contributions to their communities. Dr. Andrea’s transition from higher education to consulting metamorphosized through extensive creation and facilitation of Professional Development programs and Executive Education. She holds a special place in her heart for her partnership with HIT (Hospitality Industry Trust) Scotland and attributes her work and success with this organization and those it serves as “where it all began”. She is also a partner with the Dorchester Collection Academy in London, England.

She helps leaders, teams and organizations alter communication patterns and enhance trust through her astute ability to get clients to think from different perspectives to attain breakthrough moments and develop their own solutions. She bridges the leader’s impact on the organization and the organization’s impact back on the individual. The scientific evidence underlying her methods provides new language and understanding for having better conversations to have better relationships and result in the fastest way to solve a problem, accomplish a goal, or resolve conflict. Her continually updated practices are updated from contemporary and affective neuroscience providing insights, tools and tips to help people understand what is happening in the brain and body during every conversation. Dr. Andrea hosts a weekly radio show, Conversation Reimagined, Thursdays at 5pmEST, on the Bold Brave Media Global Network, also archived on TuneIn Radio, Spotify, and YouTube, where she interviews neuroscientists and psychologists. Listeners and leaders gain insights into better ways to converse and connect.

Dr. Andrea has a PhD in Leadership, a master’s degree in Communication from Washington State University, is a certified NeuroCoach© and certified in Conversational Intelligence© and the Appzreciation Languages in the Workplace©. She also has instructional training in vocal coaching to bring awareness to individuals of the vibrational resonance of their speaking voice, for conversational impact and how this creates connection and resonance with or ostracizes others.

Throughout her illustrious career Dr. Andrea has received awards, accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. This year she is being considered for a Billboard feature in Times Square, NYC on the famous Reuters Building and was selected for the Empowered Woman Award. For 2019, Dr. Andrea had a featured article in TIP (Top Industry Professional) Magazine. She was selected as Top Organizational Consultant of the Year and received her recognition at the Annual Awards Gala in Las Vegas at the Bellagio Hotel from the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Dr. Andrea was also invited to become a member of the Forbes Coaches Council.

Aside from her successful career, Dr. Andrea is a sought-after lecturer and public speaker. Her personal mantra she shares and lives by is “With every interaction – conscious, verbal, intentional or not – you pull others to you or push them away.”

Looking back, Dr. Andrea attributes her success to her perseverance and resilience, mentors she has had the honor of working alongside, cultural and international experience, and remaining passionate in all her business endeavors.  When not working, she enjoys traveling, downhill skiing, hiking, watching Rugby 7’s, engaging in meaningful conversation and laughing.
