It’s hard to categorize Daniel DiCriscio or put a label on this multi-talented artist. One look at him and you might assume he is either a rock star, an actor or even a model for some product line, but you would be mistaken; He is all that and more.
From music to acting, fashion to beauty, DiCriscio somehow finds the time to tap into all his creative talents.
Starting with his latest project, a remix of his current single ‘X Sex’ is being released on the legendary house music label Trax Records later this month.
The original EDM version and music video for ‘X Sex’ is currently available on all platforms from IMAGE Records International and it immediately caught the attention of Trax Records founder Rachel Cain and staff that led to the new edit by renowned international DJ Carmelo Carone.
“I am so honored and psyched about the new edit from Carmelo and Trax! Rachael Cain is The Best! Music to me is such an important part of life and without it life would be so boring. Making music makes me feel alive and motivates me. ‘X Sex’ is a sensual, sexual journey that will get your pulse racing and grab your attention. It’s [X Sex] Sex, Drugs, and Rock N’ Roll, minus the Rock N’ Roll, lol! In this case, house music!”, states DiCriscio.
The L.A. based artist broke onto the music scene in the mid ’90’s with his debut album ‘Sin’, which was marketed and distributed by IMAGE Records International and was sold in all Tower Records store’s internationally. Promotion for the album included a coveted spot as a celebrity guest on L.A.’s KIIS FM radio show and a review in Billboard Magazine, along with an appearance at the Billboard Music Awards.
The album spawned two hit dance tracks and videos for the singles ‘Take Me To The Other Side’ (remixed by Safehands for PWL London, of Kylie Minogue, Dead or Alive, and Bananarama fame) and ‘Only Time Will Tell’ (the live concert video features cast members from ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ as his back-up dancers). Both singles were programmed on the dance/club circuit and charted.
He has toured internationally in support of his music and sites opening for the legendary Grace Jones at Paramount Studios, Hollywood as one of the highlights of his music career. “It doesn’t get any better than working with Grace Jones. She’s an Icon!”, says DiCriscio.
DiCriscio is also known as a TV and media personality, celebrity hairstylist, actor, and model who gained fame and notoriety by transforming Paula Jones during the Clinton Sex Scandal, which is still known to this day as the biggest public makeover ever. His most notable celebrity clientele include; Pamela Anderson, Stevie Nicks, Marilyn Manson, Kato Kaelin, and the late Anna Nicole Smith.
He is still recognized from his widely popular TV appearances with Sacha Baron Cohen as Bruno on ‘Da Ali G Show’, ‘Cristina’s Court’, ‘Todd TV’ with Bret Michaels, ‘The Gossip Queens’, FOX News Channel, ‘Geraldo’, ‘EXTRA’, ‘TMZ onTV’, and a slew of other internationally popular programs. DiCriscio has also acted on ‘All My Children’ and appears in the film documentary ‘HAIR’ most recently as Idol in the new Indie horror flick ‘Vamp Bikers Tres’.
The forthcoming ‘X Sex’(Carmelo Carone edit) on Trax Records is currently on rotation on numerous radio stations around the globe and is moving it’s way up the house music charts. A new music video for the remix has just been released on all platforms. DiCriscio is planning a tour this summer to promote the song beginning in New York City.
