Hip Hop’s newest Bad Boy Da Baby is making waves in the news with his no non-sense attitude and is set to grace the stage here in Houston June 7th at the Humble Civic Center. When event producer McKinley Gray started planning the Summer Takeover tour he had no idea that the concert would gain the momentum that it did, however having Da Baby headline the event has the tickets selling like hotcakes.
Who is McKinley Gray?
At age 32 Mckinley Gray is set to be the youngest African American in Houston to produce a 1-day music festival of this size. Originally the concept was to create an event under the umbrella of his non-profit “All About the Brand (AATB),” geared as a celebration for students at the end of the school year. But the overwhelming response has McKinley on course to make history.
The Summer Takeover
The Summer Takeover Music Festival was an extension of the motivational pep rallies and was meant to be an outlet for the youth to come and have fun after passing the S.T.A.R.R testing. The festival is a celebration for kids of all ages which brings to the stage local and national music talent. The Summer Takeover Music Festival is set to take place at the Humble Civic Center on June 7th 2019 with an estimated attendance of over 9k people. Each year AATB provides scholarship opportunities for students, a portion of the proceeds will go towards the scholarship fund. Performances include national recording artist Da Baby, NLE Choppa, Zae HD & CEO, Tisa Korean, and local artist OTB Fastlane and Yung Martez.
