Comm Nova wants to create jobs with a brand new production and distribution facility

The team at Comm Nova has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise awareness and funds for their latest cause – a production and distribution facility that will bring well-paying jobs to the Bend, Oregon, community.
In Bend, homelessness has seen a 30% increase. A majority of jobs are entry level, and while retirees are driving up housing costs, millennials are leaving the area. Comm Nova intends to build a facility in the area that will bring entry level jobs starting at $15 per hour with benefits.
At Comm Nova, co-founders John Schweiter and Marie Schweiter are dedicated to offering everything people need to transform their televisions into computer screens and thereby infuse tech with lifestyle like never before.
“The purpose of our GoFundMe campaign is to pay for our current trip to New York City, so we can bring good paying jobs in Bend, Oregon,” said John.
Comm Nova was invited to attend 2020Startups.NYC, an accelerator program that took place in May 2017. “The 2020 program is helping us get the investment and partnerships we need to grown,” said John.
Both John and Marie are previous restaurant owners who have a passion for both hospitality and technology. Now, they’re working to get the internet into a single room via computer-to-television technology. First, the duo hopes to help bring great paying jobs to the young people of Bend, Oregon. These jobs will help keep younger generations in the area while offering livable wages and benefits.
