Deal analysts at Black Friday Dealer help shoppers find discounts on a host of products for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Forecasters are already predicting that Black Friday 2017 is going to surpass previous years’ sales to become the busiest online shopping day in history. Over $650 billion was spent by shoppers during the 2016 holiday shopping season. For the past six years this number has been growing at close to 5% annually, based on survey data from the National Retail Federation (NRF).
Originally Black Friday was a 24 hour sales event with shoppers queueing for hours to access discounts at brick and mortar stores. In recent years e-commerce has made up an ever greater share of Black Friday sales. In 2016 an estimated 52% of shoppers went online to shop for Black Friday weekend, according to data from the NRF Survey.
Online sales begin in the week leading up to Black Friday, which lands on November 24th this year, and continue through to Cyber Monday on November 27th.
