Charmaine Betty-Singleton selected as Empowered Woman of the Year by IAOTP

Charmaine E. With over two decades of active and reserve service, serving in various legal capacities and business endeavors, Charmaine has certainly proven herself as an accomplished professional and expert in many fields. As a dynamic, results-driven leader, Charmaine has demonstrated success not only as a CEO, but in every position she has ever held.

Her impressive repertoire of prior roles has included: directing and managing the operation of an 8-person legal office, responsible for providing legal support to the installation’s combined customer population consisting of over 120,000 as it executes a $60 million garrison budget. Charmaine supervised the administration of military justice, claims, administrative and civil law, legal assistance, ethics, labor law, environmental, contract law functional areas and litigation in the US District Court. She served in various legal capacities including: Administrative Law/Contract/Legal Assistant Attorney, USMA, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate; Trial Defense Attorney, HHC 1 st ID, Wuerzburg, Germany; Procurement Fraud Coordinator, HQ; Trial Counsel/Chief Military Justice; Command Judge Advocate; Deputy Staff Judge Advocate and Deputy Staff Judge Advocate. Charmaine has also served in support of IFOR/SFOR, Operation Nobel Eagle, OperationEnduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom just to name a few.

As the Owner and CEO to Praises to the King Enterprises, LLC, Charmaine’s focus and mission is to value Commitment, Community, Balance, Fun, Innovation, Integrity, Leadership, Respect, Service Excellence and Praise.

On Mother’s Day 2020, Charmaine launched a Luxury Italian Shoe Line called #FUNKYFAITH. The inspiration behind this cause, is in memory and honor of her niece Karisma “Shay” Dargan, who passed away at age 33 due to COVID19. So far over 90 shoes have been donated to first responders, essential workers, cancer survivors, domestic violence survivors and all those coping with bullying and mental illness. Eventually proceeds from the shoe sales will support conferences and events for the causes. Charmaine says, “Shay your memory lives on inspiring others to believe and achieve their dreams.”

Born in Kingston Jamaica, Charmaine earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History, and her Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership from Virginia Union University. She rounded her studies by obtaining her Juris Doctorate degree from Washington and Lee Law School in Lexington Virginia.

Throughout her remarkable career Charmaine has received awards, decorations, accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. This year she is being considered for a featured article in TIP (Top Industry Professional) Magazine and she was previously honored as Top CEO for 2019 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Charmaine was recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who and the National Association of Professional Women. She received the Bronze Star Medal, five Meritorious Service Medals, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the NATO Medal and the Military Volunteer Service Medal.

In addition to her successful career, Charmaine is the CEO/Owner of Thy Kingdom Come International, Inc., a Non-Profit dedicated to social justice and educational endeavors. She is also a sought after public motivational speaker and published author. Her book From Fear to Faith in 30 Days, is available on Amazon. Charmaine is the owner of Victorious Vibes radio station which is housed on SIBN and has songs on iTunes available for listening.

Looking back, Charmaine attributes her success to God, her perseverance, her parents and mentors she has had the honor of working alongside. She remains passionate in all of her business endeavors. When not working, she enjoys traveling, reading, writing poetry, Zumba, mentoring and coaching people to obtain their goals and serving her community. Charmaine says she has been blessed she loves helping and educating people and feels this is just the beginning.
