California artist Kat Fox returns to her Italian roots in Milan exhibition

Kat Fox of Ventura County, CA has been invited to participate in an art exhibition through the M.A.D.S. Art Gallery in Milan, Italy. Her photograph, "Kinetic Dreaming," will be displayed during the Hysterica International Art Exhibition in Milan and Fuenaventura from November 19th through the 30th.

Kat Fox of Ventura County, CA has been invited to participate in an art exhibition through the M.A.D.S. Art Gallery in Milan, Italy.
Her photograph, “Kinetic Dreaming,” will be displayed during the Hysterica International Art Exhibition in Milan and Fuenaventura from November 19th through the 30th.
According to Fox, the Hysterica Exhibition “calls upon artists to delve into fear exploring how the unconscious would manifest if completely free to do so. Imagination is rife with nightmares and dreamscapes; sometimes I cannot tell them apart. Maybe the two are not disparate? My photograph Kinetic Dreaming is a reflection of this inner world. A dark and foreign landscape belies a cosmic ballet, a world of grace and wonder with an optimistic horizon. It is a reminder to find light and joy even in the midst of darkness.”
Influenced by the pop art movement, Fox’s work reflects cultural zeitgeist through a retro and nostalgic lens. She enjoys exploring the role of imagination, play and the effect of color on human livelihood. In addition to photography, Fox builds sets, paints and sculpts, and her sculpture,”Infinity Time,” is featured in the photograph Kinetic Dreaming.
Kat Fox has shown both domestically and internationally but is especially excited to exhibit with M.A.D.S Art Gallery because of her Italian roots. Fox’s grandparents hail from a small village Borgo d’Ale just west of Milan!
All art throughout the Hysterica International Art Exhibition will be displayed in the gallery on screens, projectors, and touch-screen monitors, as the M.A.D.S.
