Becker’s Hospital Review has named Brandon McBride, chief executive officer and administrator for Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital in Utah, as an example healthcare leader as part of its “Community Hospital CEOs to Know” list for 2023.
The annual list recognizes 107 community hospital CEOs who are according to Becker’s, “the unsung heroes of healthcare,” and are tasked with delivering coordinated healthcare to local patients, who also help shape workforce culture while planning for the hospital’s future.
McBride has been with Intermountain Health for 15 years. Before coming to Intermountain Health, he served as an operations director at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He leads Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital, which has 146 licensed beds.
“Brandon is the finest hospital CEO I have worked with in the last 26 years,” said Curtis Pedersen, MD, chief medical officer for Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital. “He is brilliant and skilled, but most of all, he cares about the individual. He takes the time to talk to every care worker in our hospital. We are fortunate to have him in our hospital.”
Becker’s announcement also noted those listed are honored for their dedication to community health and are critical to the success of their hospitals.
“This recognition is a direct reflection of the incredible physicians, nurses, and team of caregivers at Logan Regional Hospital who create a culture of safety, quality and excellence for our patients and the community,” said McBride. “Because of them, we are able to provide care and service that is patient-oriented. It’s an honor for me to work alongside our amazing team on a daily basis. They deserve the recognition and credit.”
Logan Regional Hospital has also recently been recognized as a CMS Five Star Hospital, a Fortune Top 100 Community Hospital, and received a Leap Frog A Grade for its efforts to protect patients and provide quality healthcare to the community.
The Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team accepted nominations and curated the list to highlight the great work of CEOs from community hospitals across the nation.
