Liberian Author Sianah Nalika DeShield to launch a new steamy African Inspired romance novel set in Accra, Ghana called “McSexy” on June 28, 2019. The novel about a 27-year-old Ghanaian entrepreneur millionaire Michael Abeiku Frimpong and a 24-year-old University Lecturer, Lillian Akosua Annah, whose destinies are aligned despite complications of compatibility, romance, societal expectations and the pressure of marriage and families. In her new Romance novel, two Ghanaian companies are featured, Kantanka Automobile, a company that produces locally made Ghanaian cars, and Horseman shoes, a Ghanaian based footwear manufacturing company.
Departing from her previous series of books the “Thou Shalt Trilogy”, where the passionate-minded Sianah Nalika DeShield exposed her readers to the culture of her country, Liberia, and unraveled the masks of issues that were ignored in the African society like domestic abuse, carnal addictions, female genital mutilation, singleness, pressure about marriage and families, and issues surrounding romantic relationships, in “McSexy”, the author takes an adventurous turn by not only promoting education and entrepreneurship among young people, but she sets a trend in using her platform as a romance novelist to give her audience a sense of not just the Liberian culture, but Africa in general. Her choice to promote the Kantanka K71 and Mensah cars, as well as the Horseman shoes in her novel that will be sold worldwide is aimed at giving the western world and those who do not see the beauty of Africa a picture to help change the narrative of the Africa she knows and loves.
“McSexy” is definitely not a book for a romance novel fan or someone interested in the realities of Africa to miss.
