“In 2010 Mashable declared June 30 Social Media Day. I decided that each year I’ll celebrate by providing social media education for individuals, small business owners and marketing professionals in the most cost effective way possible,” said Lissa Duty, conference organizer.
Duty is also a speaker at the two-day conference, which features 19 social media experts and advocates. Conference covers 17 presentations ranging from topics such as Pinterest for Business to Brand Messaging and Content Creation. Duty will present on “How to Effectively Manage the Social Media Time Suck” and “The Google Effect: Google+ & Google Search.”
Speaker, Kate Buck Jr., travels from Austin for her “Facebook Marketing Strategies for Guaranteed Success” session. Oklahoman Chris Forbes, co-author of Guerrilla Marketing for Non-Profits, will present “Social Media Unplugged: Using your Social Media Skills Offline”, while speaker David Leonnig from Oregon discusses “Social Impact: How Social Media Affects Our Decisions.”
Duty’s goal is to provide attendees a forum to polish important social media skills to ensure online success for the dollar offline. An early bonus session on June 30th; is “Morning Coffee with Johnny Tan, Relationship Expert” whose Blog Talk Radio show is featured on the home page of BTR.
