Air Pollution Damages the Immune System; CBCD Reviews the Medical Evidence
Industry: Health & Fitness
A damaged immune system can allow latent viruses to multiply, which may lead to a major disease. CBCD recommends boosting the immune system with two natural antivirals.

“Infected with a latent virus? The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) recommends taking Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR.” – Greg Bennett, CBCD
Air pollution is known to damage the immune system. Dr. Fry and colleagues wrote that air pollution “is associated with numerous adverse health effects, including altered respiratory immune responses.” (1) Dr. Fry is from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In another scientific paper, Dr. David H. Sherr Ph.D. wrote that air pollutants, such as Hydrocarbons and Pthalates, produced during the burning of organic materials (like burning coal, fossil fuels, even barbecuing steaks) disrupt the activation of B cells, which participate in immune system function. The same sort of damage occurs when other air pollutants leak from plastic materials when they degrade. (2) Dr. Sherr continued, writing that “The effects of these chemicals on immature B lymphocytes (a type of immune cell) are dramatic. Hydrocarbons, many of which are carcinogenic, prematurely induce bone marrow B cells to initiate the cell death program.” (2) In other words, the polluting chemicals in the air severely damage the immune system.
The CBCD points out that when the immune system is damaged, latent viruses, such as EBV, CMV, HCV, etc., increase in number, which can lead to a major disease.

The CBCD therefore urges everyone infected with a latent virus, such as the human papillomavirus (HPV), the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1 and HSV-2), the cytomegalovirus (CMV), the varicella zoster virus (VZV), and more to learn about Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR. The formula of Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) in two clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. The studies showed that the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR formula is effective against the HPV, HSV-1, HSV-2, EBV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the first, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs. Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the (HPV, HSV-1, HSV-2, EBV, and other viruses) … reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR.” (3) The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (3)
Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites.
Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.
Aromatic hydrocarbons and phthalates are not the only air pollutants that damage the immune system. In fact, according to Dr. Fry, “ozone (O3) is of significant concern because it is highly oxidizing and has been associated with many adverse health effects. Following acute exposure in humans, O3 can induce decrements in lung function, changes in innate immune cell biology, and elevated inflammation in the airways.” (1)
When chemicals in the air damage human immune cells, it also allows latent viruses to increase in number, which can lead to a major disease.
Most scientists and physicians believe that latent viruses cause no diseases or symptoms. The FDA even states on its website: “Some viruses, however, can enter a state known as latency in which the virus is not being replicated. In the latent state the virus does not cause disease.” (4) As a result, current standard medical practices don’t target latent viruses.
However, according to Dr. Hanan Polansky’s theory of Microcompetition, the decrease in the immune system will increase the number of latent viruses in these patients. One typical virus that infects most people is the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV). Research shows that in high concentrations, these viruses cause disease. Therefore, the CBCD suggests reducing the numbers of latent viruses in the body.

Based on the evidence presented above, the CBCD recommends that individuals take Novirin or Gene-Eden-VIR, two natural antivirals designed to help boost the immune system against latent viruses.

About CBCD
The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (https://www.cbcd.net) is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS tax code. The center’s mission is to advance the research on the biology of chronic disease and to accelerate the discovery of a cure for these diseases. The CBCD first published Dr. Hanan Polansky’s highly acclaimed “Purple” book, entitled “Microcompetition with Foreign DNA and the Origin of Chronic Disease” in 2003. In this book, he explains how foreign DNA fragments can cause many major diseases. The book has been read by more than 5,000 scientists around the world, and has been reviewed in more than 20 leading scientific journals. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
