Here are some of the events and attraction highlights you will find if you are planning a visit to this vibrant city over the next two weeks:

On the 26th of November is the “Black and Gold Ball” at The Pump Room in centre of Bath and the theme is Moulin Rouge. This is a special charity event which has been organized by former England and Bath Rugby prop forward Victor Ubogu, with proceeds going to Victor Ubogu’s Nordoff Robbins/Childline 2012 Bike Ride. It’s an ideal way to meet various sporting celebrities, get dressed up and dance the night away in one of Bath’s most historic buildings.

A unique seasonal event is Jane Austen’s Regency Christmas exhibition, which takes place at the Jane Austen Centre in the heart of the city. This is a special event as it celebrates one of Bath’s most famous residents, her life and the Georgian period in which she lived. This event starts on the 26th of November and runs until the end of December.

An alternative event, which also commences on the 26th of November and runs through till the 8th of January, is Bruce Munro’s famous Field of Light, being held at the rear of the Holburne Museum of Art located in Great Pulteney Street. This is a very different experience for visitors who would like to enjoy an external art installation with a difference. Purposefully utilizing the darkest period of the year and featuring over a 1000 tiny fibre optic lights, this exhibition is sure to be a magical experience for visitors.
