On Saturday 3rd June 2012, the city of Dublin will be completely transformed for thousands of spectators to experience a weekend like no other. The Bavaria City Racing event has been proudly invited to tear up the streets of the Irish capital.

The event brings the best action from the world of motorsport, with all disciplines taking to the purpose built track, which begins at North Wall Quay, whizzing through Customs House Quay, past the College Green and the Irish Central Bank before smashing past the chequered flag on O’Connell bridge.

In terms of the lineup, the event has already announced former world champion Formula One driver Jensen Button whizzing through the streets of the city in his beloved McLaren race car. Also included on the day are demonstrations from Formula 2 cars, Indy Cars, Dakar trucks, Superbikes and Super league formula vehicles. The wide array of vehicles and disciplines ensure the event will be like nothing previously seen in Dublin.

Similar to previous events in Rotterdam and Moscow, Bavaria City racing is more than just motorsports; it’s a whole weekend of celebration. Bavaria will be keen to commemorate the event with various parties, music and more than enough drinks being provided for the 150,000 expected spectators all around the city to create one giant party in the city.

Although the event is predominantly free, tickets are available for spaces with optimal viewing of the events, by Customs House Quay and placed right at the end on O’Connell’s bridge. These tickets are still available but look to sell very quickly. However if all the tickets do sell don’t let this deter you, with the course nearly 3km long there’s guaranteed to be plenty of space for you to get a good view of the track.
