African American Owned Still Eye Rise Media Enters Audio Book Industry

Still Eye Rise Media–a reputable independent publishing company–has joined the ranks of larger publishing houses by producing their own audio books. The first audio book, Exclusive: A Novel, is narrated by award winning author Yasmin Shiraz and is currently available on Audible, iTunes and Amazon.

Led by CEO Shiraz, Still Eye Rise Media has been able to continuously move forward in the publishing and entertainment marketplace receiving a Top Ten Quick Pick for Reluctant Readers Award from the American Library Association for their book Retaliation and receiving a Best Documentary Award from the International Youth Film Festival for their groundbreaking film Can She Be Saved.

Still Eye Rise Media was able to nab a Jennifer Lopez audio engineer to navigate production on the first audio book. “I consider us blessed with everyone who we work with. We find the most amazing people all the time, ” states Shiraz.

Trends in the book industry brought audio book publishing to the attention of Still Eye Rise Media. According to Shiraz, “The growth of the audio book industry and the lack of selection for African American readers made me jump at the opportunity to provide content for the marketplace.”

Exclusive is part one of a four book series which Still Eye Rise Media plans to produce throughout the end of 2016 and 2017.  Shiraz explains, “With the response from our fans so far, I look forward to narrating Privacy, Devious and Secrets.”
