Ever wondered how you could impress a managing partner in an interview with a top law firm? Well now you can stop wondering, as Stephen Hewitt, the Managing Partner of London-based law firm Fisher Meredith, has revealed all in a Q&A with LAW Absolute.
In the Q&A Mr Hewitt discussed his career as a top London criminal lawyer and some of the most high-profile cases he has worked on, as well as giving advice to young, up-and-coming lawyers in London and sharing some interview tips that all lawyers can benefit from when trying to find a job in the capital.
When LAW Absolute asked about how someone would introduce themselves well in an interview with him, he said; “Be realistic about how much you know. Humility and self-knowledge are important.”
In terms of traits and skills that he looks for in candidates who have applied for a position with Fisher Meredith he said, “Intellectual rigour and clarity, articulacy, self-knowledge, conscientiousness, resilience and flair.”
