Following the success in winning Best Trade Campaign of the year at the acclaimed TTG Travel Awards 2010, Wendy Wu Tours Wendy Wu Tours targets the prestigious Globe Travel Awards 2011.

The Globe Travel Awards are a unique recognition in the travel sector as only travel agents can vote and show their support to key suppliers. Nominations are open until the 15th October 2010 and this year industry professionals can vote for 29 awards including Best Long Haul Operator, Best Long Haul Specialist Operator, Best Luxury Operator, Best UK Airport, Best Rail Operator, etc. in eight categories. There are also three specialist awards including the Innovation Travel Award, the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Penny Akam Unsung Hero Award for which special voting rules apply.

The Globe Travel Awards have become an established and important date in the travel industry and last year the awards set a record after 62,000 votes were cast. Past winners have included Superbreak, Emirates, Gold Medal Travel, P&O Ferries, Holiday Extras and Dubai Tourism UK amongst others.

The 2011 Globe Travel Awards winners will be announced at the glittering awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel in London on January 17.
