Intermountain Cedar City and Sevier Valley Hospitals have once again been named a Top 20 Rural and Community Hospital in the country by the National Rural Health Association. This is the sixth time the NRHA has recognized Sevier Valley as Top 20 since 2016, and the 10th time for Cedar City Hospital.
Both hospitals were also named Top 100 Rural and Community Hospitals by the Chartis Center for Rural Health this year. Intermountain Park City Hospital and Intermountain Bear River Valley Hospital were also named to the Top 100 list.
“We are deeply honored to earn this recognition for the tenth consecutive year. We are incredibly proud of our leaders, caregivers, and provider partners for their unwavering commitment to our mission. Being the only hospital to receive this award since its inception underscores our dedication to excellence and our relentless pursuit of improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve,” Cedar City Hospital President Jamison Robinett said.
“This recognition is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our caregivers,” said Brent Schmidt, Intermountain Health Sevier Valley Hospital President. “This is our sixth time receiving this award, which shows we can serve our rural communities with best possible care while still focusing on lowering costs for patients as a not-for-profit hospital.”
The top hospital performers named to NRHA’s list are national leaders in care quality, patient outcomes, and affordability.
Sevier Valley Hospital is proud to be on the list and to be a leader in rural health, said Schmidt. “We strive to make sure everyone in our community has access to highest quality care at an affordable cost. Receiving this award shows that we’re making an impact as a facility and as a health system.”
Cedar City and Sevier Valley Hospitals will be recognized during NRHA’s annual Rural Health Conference in Atlanta on May 22.
