For all those seeking a quality education in London, here comes the most awaited news of 2010! Beginning September, you can pursue an International Baccalaureate Diploma right in the heart of London. The International Community School is now accredited with the Geneva based International Baccalaureate as a candidate school for delivering the IB Diploma course from September this year.
“We attach a lot of importance to the methods adopted to teach students and learning is driven by best practices utilizing the International Baccalaureate Programmes for Primary Years and Middle Years. And now for students between the ages of 16 – 19, we will commence the IB Diploma Programme, designed for students who are University-bound. A Cambridge International A’level Programme will also be continued”, revealed Philip Hurd, Head of ICS.
Gaining accreditation as an IB world school offering all the three programmes designed by the International Baccalaureate organization proves the high premium placed on student experience and teaching practises by the staff and administrators of the school. The ICS joins the ranks of a few select independent schools offering IB Diploma London. The process to accreditation is long and arduous and often takes up to two to three years for the candidate school to fulfil all the stringent requirements placed before them by the International Baccalaureate Board. “But these stringent measures stressed upon by the International Baccalaureate system ensure that our children get quality education, that in a way, is like their passport to a successful future”, said an overjoyed parent. The programme normally runs over the course of two years and is widely recognised and accept all the leading universities of the world. The students opting to complete their education through the IB system also find the International School Central London Residential facilities highly beneficial. Not only do they find it easier to prepare for higher studies in United Kingdom or elsewhere, but they also get to enjoy living in Central London.
