The Global Cannabinod Research Center (GCRC) was founded in 2018 by Mike Robinson, a 3x cancer survivor who’s used cannabis oils to fight his own health issues and win has announced the launching of yet entity. “The Hemp Users Guide, known as the HUG, was created as a source of information for consumers as well as the hemp and cannabis industries. We’ve put together GCRC Publications which has multitudes of these online rags but the HUG is one of the stars of the show along with my original blog that’s been viewed by 10’s of millions – Mike’s Medicines.” stated GCRC founder Mike Robinson.
“Hemp is, by far, Earth’s premier, renewable natural resource” Jack Herer stated in his famed book ‘The Emporer Wears No Clothes’ which was published in 1985. Since that time the United States has seen the plant legalized once again for commercial production via the Farm Bill that has no only allowed hemp production but removed it’s primary cannabinoid CBD from Schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances Act. This has allowed for robust growth the industry throughout the nation as well as fueling the future of hemp production all over the world. “We’ve got the plan in place for the Hemp Instruction Center here in Santa Barbara so it makes sense to have an online publcation that can be turned into a print magazine at some point to go with it. We’re planning on actually making a guide of some type but that’s down the line.” Robinson stated.
Sarah Schwefel, a research analyst at the GCRC, is one of the primary contributors to the HUG, but Robinson writes a vast majority of what’s published. “Being a content writer means the world to me as I can share my experiences with the disability I have and how hemp extracts have helped me to begin with – but there’s so much more to it than that. There’s a list a mile long of what’s made out of hemp and how hemp can be used or was used in the past. When consumers read about this they feel more comfortable with both cannabis and hemp as their medicine. I personally have Elhers Danlos Syndrome and writing about the plant that I use to heal myself has a therapeutic element all of it’s own.’ She stated. “People need to read information that gives them encouragment, hope, and knowledge.”
“In 2020 researching Hemp, specifically CBG has brought quite a bit of exposure to the GCRC and Mike Robinson.The industry hasn’t seen much of the “Genevieve’s Dream” hemp strain research, but I’ve personally tried the prototype oil and it’s an incredible experience to feel the benefits of this new effective hemp extract. Naming it after Genevieve is beautiful because of how they met.” said Sarah Schwefel, Research Analyst for GCRC.
The Cannabis Love Story has been read by tens of millions around the globe from his own personal blog Mikes Medicines. It’s a tale of a 2016 compassion exchange that eventually made Robinson the dad to Genevieve who had tragically lost her biological father a decade prior. “Her mom and I started dating about a month after we first met, but I was on the road busy all the time.” he explained, “She stole my heart when she called me Daddy, helping her became my number one duty in life. Educating others on how they can help kids like Genevieve is vital to the future of healthcare – most of us no longer trust the system a whole lot anymore.”
GCRC has made several announcements in 2020 that are hitting home for patients considering hemp or alternative medicine. “Healthcare needs a facelift in more ways than one, cannabis and hemp – plant medicine can give it that” according to Robinson, “My daughter Genevieve has brought so much hope to the world of hemp with her remarkable recovery – so we feel it’s time to step up the educational element to the general public on how this plant works as most don’t understand the complicated research studies. People need something they can read and easily digest. The HUG is that.”
