Eduardo Erazo – Global Director of Data Innovation, NextGen Digital: Black & Veatch

Eduardo is a data science geek, public speaker, Amazon alumnus, and technology leader focused on strategicdata-centric digital transformations and innovation. Work focus is in managing and leading high profile technical strategic projects, specialized in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and IT integration and implementation.

Eduardo will be exploring the role of AI and data in machine learning for the industry. The future of machine learning for industry is here, with the application of Artificial Intelligence, data centres and big data allowing for optimisation of processes and solutions. Lalitha has a successful track record in managing technology enabled large scale transformation powered by high performing global teams and strong customer and stakeholder relationships.

Christopher Irwin – Program Manager for Transactive Energy, Communications and Interoperability in Smart Grid: U.S. Department of Energy

At the Department of Energy, Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability, Christopher managed and oversaw over $1.5B in grid modernization projects. He has seen some of the top utilities in the country, from very large to very small, tackle technology, integration and business challenges necessary to bring about the Smart Grid.

Christopher lead DOE’s Smart Grid standards and interoperability efforts, working alongside NIST, FERC and other federal agencies in the Smart Grid Interoperability Panel and other forums. He also founded DOE’s participation in the Federal Government’s Green Button Data Access Initiative to empower customers with improved access to their own energy data.

Christopher will be exploring smart energy for enterprises and how it provides sustainability. Jodie Bare – Director of Data and Innovation: Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada

Jodie Bare is the Director of Data and Innovation at the Regional Transporta tion Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC).  She joined the RTC in December 2018, bringing over 20 years of experience working in the Information Technology field.  Jodie is helping to lead the mobility transformation for Southern Nevada with her focus on emerging transportation technology and next-level mobility solutions, including micro-transit services, autonomous and connected vehicle efforts, and smart signal platforms.

Jodie’s experience includes executive level management in the private sector working as a COO and VP of Technology Services.  She has an extensive background overseeing many large, complex technical programs and projects and has a solid understanding of best practices for program management.  She has led several global IT initiatives in the span of her career and has a broad knowledge of many different technology disciplines.  Her experience includes working in a project management office, leading a variety of IT teams and support services, working overseas in technical operations, and defining critical business processes for global IT operations.  Prior to joining the RTC, Jodie oversaw the IT elements within the Smart Columbus Program Portfolio, a mobility reinvention program developed from the prestigious USDOT Smart City Challenge grant the city won in 2016.

Jodie will be sharing her knowledge during the talk ‘Disruption Junction – Re-defining Our Function’. This talk will explore the consumer expectations and technological capabilities of urban mobility. In particular how Las Vegas is transforming how we traditionally move people, goods and services. The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is integrating smart technology that accommodates the needs of all users to create a safer, more reliable and efficient transportation system. Tony Batalla – CTO & IT Director: City of San Leandro, California

Tony serves as the Head of Information Technology for the City of San Leandro, CA. Since his appointment in February 2014, he has helped launch a 10-gigabit internet connection at City Hall and a free, public Wi-Fi system utilizing the City’s fiber optics network. He oversees all aspects of technology, including infrastructure, service delivery, and data management and acts as the senior advisor for City Council on technology issues and policies. He holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BS from the University of San Francisco.

Tony will be exploring which connectivity solutions will be integral to the future of smart cities. Robert Rencher: Associate Technical Fellow, Senior Systems EngineerThe Boeing Company

As a Sr. System Engineer, Robert’s primary area of expertise is in the identification and validation of strategic Information Technology solutions for Boeing and the aviation industry. He is a recognized as an effective expert in addressing issues related to complex airline information systems; specifically the integration, security and performance of the global information technology infrastructure utilized by the commercial aviation industry.

Robert will be sharing his wealth of knowledge in his session ‘Connected Industry: Creating a competitive edge with the IIoT’ on Wednesday 13th November 2019.
