A Young Boy. An Accused Murderer. See How Their Paths Collide in “Where Do The Children Play?”

Industry: Books

A disturbed young girl’s cry for help goes unheeded, resulting in the tragic kidnapping and drowning of a little boy.

Buffalo, NY (PRUnderground) October 25th, 2018

Mr. Evans’ first published novel Where Do the Children Play? is a compelling coming-of-age story about twin boys who finally get adopted after having lived in foster homes for most of their lives. While things are not exactly turning out the way they hoped at their new home they are still very grateful to have one. The older twin Wesley still has a real desire to learn more about his past, which he has been kept in the dark about, as most adoptees were in those days, even though he knows it would be better if he tried to forget it and move on. But things keep happening that won’t let him, and he finds himself more involved in current events than he should be.

On the other hand, his brother Rory prefers to stick his head in the sand at all cost and wants to know nothing about what is happening- for good reason, as you will find out as events come to a head. That is until something happens that changes the lives of the twins, the aforementioned young girl, and an innocent little boy forever. An admixture of The Rules of Survival and Blood Family with a pinch of Catcher in the Rye thrown in for good measure.

Tom Evans is a librarian living near NYC. He has had a number of poems and stories published in various ezines, and several more of both accepted for publication later in the year. He maintains a literary blog at thome2040.com.

Copies of Where Do the Children Play? are available at all major booksellers.
