Car dealerships are deciding that enough is enough regarding the recent increase in break-ins and stolen vehicles. At least one business had to close down this year after thieves made away with many of their cars, keys and titles.

Most auto dealerships have security cameras, but they soon realize those devices don’t prevent crimes, they only record them. What’s missing is someone to monitor cameras in real time – someone who can take action when needed.  That’s why more dealerships are switching to SentraCam’s new high-tech security and surveillance solutions for the automobile industry.

SentraCam’s surveillance units are equipped with wireless high-definition cameras and loudspeakers. If someone enters the established perimeter of the vehicle lot, the advanced movement analytics system is triggered and a remote guard located in the SentraCam Command Center is immediately notified. The guard can intervene through the use of amplified loudspeakers. If the intruder refuses to leave the property, the SentraCam security staff will contact the authorities.

In addition to real-time security, dealership clients can access the live-feed using the SentraCam mobile app to locate customers or find out which vehicles are generating the most interest. They can also determine if employees are taking care of customers in a timely fashion, or make an announcement through the loudspeakers to the entire dealership.
