Industry: Non Profit & Charity
Detroit, MI (PRUnderground) August 4th, 2016
Project Compassion Ministries (PCM), a faith-based nonprofit that seeks to bring the Light and Love of Jesus Christ to seniors in nursing homes in and around Detroit Michigan, invites the public to its 43rd Annual Block Party. This event, which celebrates seniors and their nursing home staff with an outdoor family-friendly party, will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2016, from 1-3 pm, on E. Grand Blvd. near Kercheval.
For the first time, PCM is partnering with ARISE!Detroit and the Block Party will be part of the 10th Annual City-wide “Neighborhoods Day” celebration.
Chaplain Eric Stenson, the Executive Director of Project Compassion Ministries, brings his two young children to the PCM Annual Block Party every year. As Chaplain Stenson explains: “I think it is important for young people to respect, serve, and develop dignity toward our elders. Seeing the children brightens up the day for the seniors.”
The Block Party will offer fun, food, and festivities, including clowns, balloons, and Christian musicians to the seniors, their caregivers and families, and visitors.
More information and a downloadable flyer for the Annual Block Party is available here.
