The best FCS college football players from around the nation will head to the Inaugural “FCS National Bowl” or “FCS BOWL” set for Miami Florida’s sunny National Bowl Weekend. The new FCS game creates an exciting scouting opportunity for top level talent from the NCAA’s Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) seniors. It will be a jammed pack weekend of football as the FCS BOWL will be played as a double header at 2pm following the 10am start of the 5th Annual National Bowl at Florida International University’s Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium. The National Bowl showcases the NCAA’s top Division 2 & 3 players from around the country. The National Bowl returns to FIU which saw in 2013 100 certified All-Americans being scouted by 10 NFL teams, 4 CFL teams, and over 25 total pro scouts in attendance including scouts from the Arena Leagues. With the addition of the top FCS level talent in 2014, the 5th Annual National Bowl weekend will include a vast 2015 NFL Draft Class that NFL teams will scour to find the best as 7 D2/D3 players went on to the NFL last year. The FCS Bowl and National Bowl are presented by East Preps which has been rated by some as a top 10 sports management company while The National Bowl weekend is an annual post-season college football all-star game weekend consisting of top players from Non-FBS schools. Scouting Consultant Shaun DePasquale is leading the FCSBOWL.COM scouting efforts while ScouTeam.com narrows a list of over 5000 players before invites go out. Players are expected from as far as Oregon, Colorado, and Texas. Its founder Michael Quartey Esq is a former NFL Certified Contractor who in 5 years has expanded the game to a major FBS/Division One stadium. The founder explains “The athletic department at FIU is first class and the Athletic Director Pete Garcia, and Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities Wes Hardin, have been extremely supportive in keeping the National Bowl coming back to FIU Stadium while supporting the launch of the Inaugural FCS Bowl. We are so thrilled to be back at Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium as the players last year deemed it football heaven while enjoying state of the art facilities and prefect Florida weather. NFL and CFL scouts have already expressed their interest in coming back to FIU, they love the game, the players, the location, and told us to keep the game in early December so we wouldn’t coincide with their scouting meetings the weeks before Christmas to maximize exposure. We are pumped and a full go at 100 Miles per Hour until Miami!”

The National Bowl and FCS Bowl are the only elite Non-FBS post-season all-star games that sees scouts from any NFL teams along with the CFL, and arena leagues. Teams that do not make it to Miami still communicate with the bowl committees and many players are still signed by teams who review the game film. The bowl rosters are unique in that they give the NFL, CFL, and additional scouts a chance to view and get to know some of the best players from smaller schools many college football fans may not have even heard of. Last year NFL Films reached out to the bowl committee and distributed the game and practice film directly to all 32 NFL teams through their own electronic distribution system. The NFL scouting statistic offices also reached out to us and review our game film and sent us a full play by play analysis. We will continue to meet morph and meet their scouting and player personnel needs in the area of small schools from FCS all the way to NAIA. This year the FCS Bowl will be head coached by award winning and 18 year NFL veteran Coach Mike Stock formerly of the Green Bay Packers while another team will be headed by Coach Chris Thompson of the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks who is a veteran pro arena head coach with AFL experience and championship success. The 1st of the the double header, the National Bowl, will be head coached by Pro arena Coach Kevin O’Hanlon of the Trenton Freedom and AFL coach Brian Ferguson of the Jacksonville Sharks will head coach another. Current Tampa Bay Storm coaches Lawrence Samuels and Chris Hovan will assist with coaching while 7 year NFL veteran Running Back of the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins Donnell Bennett Jr. will also return and assist with coaching giving the games a star studded coaching lineup. During the National Bowl weekend, players will again attend an “Athletes & Agents Conference” where NFL & CFL agents and sports insiders educate the players on the process of going pro and answer all of there questions from where to get NFL contacts to how to formulate their game film. Famed sports agent Chris Cabott of Zane Sports Management will return to Miami to be featured on the conference panel while renowned agent John Perez of Perez Sports Associates will also be a featured agent on the panel having both represented several National Bowl players that have gone on to the NFL and CFL. Pro Bowl agent Jonathan Tilly will continue to be a staple on the panel as he is also a game committee consultant and Certified CFL Contract Advisor. It is an awesome learning opportunity about the process of selecting an agent and going pro that every NCAA college football player should have the opportunity to attend.
