Online education provider partners with university to offer online continuing education courses
Virgin Islands (PRUnderground) October 28th, 2014
Ed4Online is pleased to announce that it has formed a partnership with the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI). Through this new partnership, UVI students will now have the ability to access Ed4Online’s convenient online courses as part of their continuing education program opportunities.
The course selections available to the Virgin Islands community, will include both continuing education subjects, as well as professional development courses to help them build a foundation for intended career paths. Some of the broad categories being offered include career training courses, personal enrichment courses, corporate courses and behavioral health courses.
Because all of Ed4Online’s courses are conveniently accessible online, without the need for a physical classroom or live instructor, students seeking to broaden their knowledge via these virtual classes have the ability to learn whenever and wherever is most comfortable and convenient for them. The courses are self-paced, offering a world of insight into topical subjects, executed using the highest standards of pedagogical best practices.
“In the fast-paced world that we live in today, learning is something that can and should be done in an environment that’s inclusive to a student’s schedule,” said Dr. Tricia Seymour, Chief Operating Officer for Ed4Online. “The University of the Virgin Islands has realized this, along with a bevy of other learning institutions around the world, and because of this, we’re proud to partner with them to create expanded learning opportunities for those seeking them.”
Founded in 1962, the University of the Virgin Islands is a public, co-ed, land grant Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the United States Virgin Islands. Offering a total of 37 undergraduate degree programs and seven graduate degree programs across its five colleges and schools, the university accommodates the learning demands of approximately 2,500 students each year.
