Ed4Online Honors Black History Month with Donation to The King Center
Industry: Education
Donation from enrollment fees will support non-violent social change
Cheyenne, Wyoming (PRUnderground) February 5th, 2015
To honor Black History Month and the legacy of non-violent social change attributed to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Ed4Online will make a $1 donation to The King Center for every online course sold throughout the month of February.
Ed4Online believes that education and social progression go hand in hand, and that the perception of violence as a tool to spur change within society is preventable. By making online, accessible education options and opportunities for distance learning available to those who seek them, Ed4Online is seeking to do its part in providing people with the tools to create their own social change.
“Giving people opportunities for education that they may not have previously had available to them is a core principle of our company,” said Dr. Tricia Seymour, Chief Operating Officer for Ed4Online. “We believe that education is a gateway to a higher quality of life, whether it’s through personal achievement or the change that education spurs in society, and it’s something we feel very passionately about. As we support The King Center this month, we’re reminded that the positive force for change is one that’s propelled by opportunity.”
The King Center serves as the premier resource dedicated to educating a global network of allied individuals and organizations working collectively, using the philosophy and methods of nonviolence to create the society of equality that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. envisioned.
